I have my personal front runner: Zach McGowan. He seems passionate about the role, and has ties to Poland via his grandfather. This could give him a bigger chance, since the producers want to maintain a “Slavic” feel.
I saw that! I don't think he'd be my top choice for Geralt, but I could see him for other characters. Besides, I'd never complain about seeing more Henry Cavill.
Nice one, Patricia. He does look just liked him. Zach McGowan looks the part, as well. Played a good part in The 100, as well. But, trying to picture him with Yennefer. He was such a loner in The 100. Lol
In my humble opinion Zach McGowan isn't so irresistible good looking to make all the sorceresses of the world lust for him... I can see that happening with Madds Mikkelsen if the sorceresses are impersonated by actresses around 40 yrs old and with Anson Mount if they choose a female casting around 30 yrs old. But that's me. ;-)
I have to admit that there are a lot of canidates for Geralt that could work for me personally. Believe me, if any of them wanted to walk up and talk to me, I’d probably possum, so I’d be the worst casting director!
I’ve seen people in support for Madds, and I agree, but I think depending on the timeline, he might be a bit older than the storyline of season one.
There is also Sebastian Stan that has been talked about recently. I am also intrigued by that possibility!
The first person that comes to mind would be Zach Mccowan considering how interested he seems in playing Geralt, and the uncanny resemblance. Also he’s never really been the main character, which is a plus since he will be the more likely to be known as Geralt not Winter Soldier or Superman.
Personally I think Henry Cavill being cast as Geralt is an excellent choice. He's well established now as an actor with some excellent roles under his belt. He has a love of the role which is always good as it lends to a good interpretation of the character and he has a huge amount of talent. I can't wait to watch it and I wish the series the greatest success!
