Since the Conjunction of the Spheres, all of these different races inhabiting The Continent have been at odds with each other—not unlike what we experience in our world. The Witcher is a time-honored story about loners, outcasts and being alienated for your difference. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich recalls the first time she spoke to Netflix about the show: “We have Ciri, we have Yennefer, we have Geralt. Each of them are alone for very different reasons and I want to track their journeys towards each other.”
