Discussion on Representation in the Series

Personally I think Henry Cavill being cast as Geralt is an excellent choice. He's well established now as an actor with some excellent roles under his belt. He has a love of the role which is always good as it lends to a good interpretation of the character and he has a huge amount of talent. I can't wait to watch it and I wish the series the greatest success!

I made this account immediately after seeing the episode where vilgafortz is introduced to say im appauled, not only is the actor NOTHING like he is described he is terribly portrayed. As a huge fan of this series and someone who has enjoyed the majortiy of this show that destroyed it for me. I was looking foward to him being the main villain for season 2 as it seemed natural but now i can tell you i wont watch season 2 for this reason. I cant stand to see a series and charachter i love for all his nuance charm and strength so horribly protrayed. An ABSOLUTE FALIURE. I cant immagine what you where thinking except approving of the color of his skin. Which is the most racist thing ive seen in a long time. Perhaps they hadnt read the series but theyre are people of different color in differnt places on the universe. For instance your casting of the women who accompanied the dragon was perfect. I even like triss because even though you once again totally reimanged a well established and liked character the acting and personality where accurate. But Jaku? Watching his portrayal makes me feel ill and upset deep inside. Perhaps a lowly fan is not a "professional critic" but we are the ones who watch the show and it doesnt take a pro to see this as a total blunder and interest ending for a fan. I personaly cannot wait to see the licensing end.
