There are three new additions that are sure to excite fans about Netflix’s upcoming fantasy series “The Witcher.” As reported by Omega Underground, the show has added Julian Parry as visual effects supervisor, art director Chloe Kletsa, and costume designer Tim Aslam.
Julian Parry has a thirty year history of visual effects experience in film and television. Most might know his award winning work on History Channel’s show “The Vikings,” meaning Parry is quite capable of bringing battles and historically based stories to life.
Chloe Kletsa is known for her work in the movie "Snow White and the Huntsman" as an art department assistant, and assistant art director for the show “Nightflyers.”
Tim Aslam has a long list of experience with periodic costume design, including “Black Sails,” a pirate story based on the “Treasure Island” novel. His knowledge brings a needed attention to detail for armor and clothes. View his mood board for “Black Sails” on his site, and hopefully, he will add the mood boards for “The Witcher” in the future!
What do you think of the new additions? We are excited for these new additions to the crew, as the details are just as vital as the actors. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below or in our forum.

Casting news are coming very very soon (check @LHissrich twitter and The Witcher TV retweets). I think they revealed Henry Cavill to notify the casting is really starting, and show that the show progress for those who don't follow very much the news.
They moved a lot between countries, they spent a lot less time on Twitter, so they were very focus on the casting. I don't believe 100% of the casting is done, but the production will speed up and we're gonna be surprised to see how the show has come a long way
Visuals Effects are really really important for The Witcher, I haven't seen Vikings, so I can't say if it will be interesting...
Tim Aslam seems to be a good costume designer, but, is it enough for The Witcher ? Costumes are one of the things I'm expecting to be excellent in the show, not just 'good'.
Of course I can't judge before the final result, but I expected the designer from Game of Thrones, or a Polish team who understand at 100% the spirit to involve in the costumes... wait and see.
Choosing Chloe Kletsa annoys me a bit, again, I can't judge now, but is she experimented enough? Does she perfectly knows The Witcher and what is "witcherish"?
I mean, Snow White was beautiful, but she was not the main art director, so we don't know the depth of her work in the movie...
I hope a Polish team will join her to couple expertises, and bring a visually stunning show.
